Voice Assistant Promises Better Door Recognition After Years of Feline Testimony

The assistant may soon understand "open the door," though analysts say it still cannot explain why the door was closed.

Technology observers welcomed reports that voice assistants are improving contextual understanding, but feline testers remain skeptical. The core request, they said, has not changed in centuries: open the door, close the door, open it again, then leave the decision unresolved.

Pixel Hiss, reviewing the update from beneath a charging cable, said the feature will be judged by latency, tone, and whether the door opens before the cat has forgotten which side was objectionable. Discnxt engineers declined to add a tracking pixel to the doorway, calling that "how the landlords get in."
